Summary:
The full-time Behavioral Health Therapist provides individual, family, and group counseling, BH assessments, and psycho-education to individuals and families residing in HopePHL’s emergency, transitional, and supportive housing programs. The therapist works closely with the case management teams to offer collaborative services to individuals and families in HopePHL’s housing programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide individual and group counseling and psychoeducation to individuals and families across HopePHL’s housing programs
· Provide flexible meeting times for groups and individual and family sessions.
· Work specifically to de-stigmatize services being offered.
· Utilize trauma informed approaches and practices in individual, family, and group meetings.
· Provide comprehensive clinical assessments as needed and document the results in CARES.
· Provide trauma sensitive and informed counseling in best practice model (CBT, TF-CBT) with coping skill focus.
· Conduct regularly scheduled appointments with residents via home visits in units, telephone, tele-therapy via zoom, and face-to-face contact.
· Fulfill all grant requirements, including performance indicators.
· Offer aftercare plan to those who have transitioned out of HopePHL’s housing program
· Participate in any crisis intervention and prevention work as needed.
· Make referrals as appropriate for more intensive mental health and/or supportive servicesas needed
· Document all encounters in electronic system
· Offer trauma informed team input via consistent case conference meetings and MDT’s, being intentional about the balance between need- to- know information and confidentiality of participants.
· Maintain Data and Contract Compliance with the grant and participate in grant related meetings as needed.
· Maintain timely, accurate and complete case file recording both paper and database.
· Participate in regular supervisory meetings with direct supervisor.
· Represent HopePHL at external service provider groups as requested.
· Prepare and assist with annual budget preparation as requested.

Required Education and Experience:
· Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or related field
· Prior experience in individual and group counseling
· Prior work with young adults and families
· Experience in co-facilitation of groups
· Experience working with low-income children and adults from diverse backgrounds and with multiple bio- psychosocial risk factors including homelessness.
· Experience working with factors of domestic violence as well as community violence.
Work Environment:
This position is a staggered schedule of 9:00a-5:00 p.m. and 3 days 11:00a-7:00 p.m. The incumbent in this position will routinely use computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other standard office equipment. The position also requires you to assist with large gift in-kind drives, and occasional event set up and breakdown.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
