Position:Behavioral Health Services Therapist
Reports To: Clinical Treatment Coordinator
Beginning Salary Range: $49,920.00 - $55,250.00
*Eligible for a $4,000.00 Sign on Bonus to be paid out within 1st year of Employment*

About this Opportunity:
The Behavioral Health Therapist is a trained professional who works with clients under the age of 18 either in an individual, family, or group setting for the purpose of helping them to understand and manage a wide range of developmental and behavioral issues. When working with Behavioral Health Service clients, the Therapist will focus on meeting the mental health needs of the children and families by providing in home therapy, connecting families to other mental health resources that best meets their need or providing individual therapy in an office setting. Focus of treatment can include depression, anxiety, child abuse effects, harming oneself, eating disorders, phobias, aggression and other symptoms or difficulties in behavior and feelings. The therapist helps children assess their issues by observing their behaviors and assessing what treatments will best benefit the child.

Our ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field and is licensed to practice therapy in the state of Michigan or actively working towards licensure. You must possess a strong knowledge of the common diagnoses and treatments for children and possess the skills necessary to facilitate positive change and the ability to provide effective individual, family, and group therapy skills, possess a strong knowledge of community resources and support for children and families, and the skills necessary to facilitate and encourage positive change.
