We are in need of dedicated ad compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians. It is the mission of North Shore Health Services to provide the best ABA therapy based on empirically validated ABA principles and to shape behavior by celebrating those small, every day successes. North Shore Health Services provides clinic-based ABA services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are a family-centered organization that works in partnership with parents to meet their child's needs in a supportive environment. Services are funded privately, through health insurance, or Medicaid. The Behavior Technician will be trained to work with children and families affected with Autism.
Training will include:
- Understanding what Autism is and how to work with kids with Autism using Applied Behavior Analysis Techniques
- Curriculum development including: language, play, cognitive, social, and motor skills
- How to chart and reduce problem behaviors
- How to teach in the natural environment
- Work with apps, games and web based technology via an iPad
- Providing one on one ABA therapy
- Working in a supervised environment by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help implement the child's program
- Understanding the implementation of treatment plans

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
- Ability to twist, stoop, and bend regularly
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and in writing
- Work cooperatively with other professionals and staff to facilitate positive interactions for the student and all involved in the student's education
- Evening availability a must
All applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and driving history check. Compensation commensurate with experience but up to 18.00 per hour! Location: Lansing. North Shore Health Services
