Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Works with process owners to ensure that just-in –time training is provided, improvement targets are set, plans are developed and progress monitored. • 
  • Facilitates teams to meet organization performance improvement goals (i.e. core measures, IHI, Leapfrog and NQF). • 
  • Responsible for supporting the management of clinical risk data with the objective of enhancing/promoting patient safety and quality care. • 
  • Champions improvement on a daily basis throughout the organization. • 
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a productive manner • 
  • Demonstrates interdepartmental support and teamwork through a supportive and collaborative approach. • 
  • Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives as listed in the Performance Management Plan and participates in committees directed towards promoting patient • safety issues. • 
  • Champions improvement initiatives in teams and departments on an ongoing basis • 
  • Acts as facility expert for group facilitation, problem identification, analysis, decision- making and measurement. • 
  • Educates staff, leaders and physicians in performance improvement methodology and conducts just-in-time training for team members • 
  • Maintains visibility to, and support of, frontline staff • 
  • Coordinates team activities and develops improvement project schedule with other organizational entities to implement improvements • 
  • Assists in Serious Event Analysis with complete action plans and follow-up monitoring including participation and presentation at the facility's Serious Preventable Adverse Event Committee. • 
  • Assists with Proactive Risk Assessments and FMEAs as requested. • 
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of grievances (electronically) along with response letters and relevant supporting documentation. • 
  • Assist with facilitating case analysis on Hospital Acquired conditions, including action plans and follow-up monitoring. • 
  • Assures change coordination across and among departments • Works with process owners to ensure that just-in –time training is provided, improvement targets are set, plans are developed and progress monitored.  

What qualifications you will need:
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement tools and methodology
  • RN License preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in quality  management
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Bachelors Degree
