Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Behavioral Health - PRN Job Overview:

• Inpatient Mental Health facility offering acute and sub-acute care units providing quality care to the patients and families
• Provides health care support as directed by the immediate supervisor.
• Follows a prescribed health care plan or protocol.
• Patient care and medication administration
• Prepares the patient for laboratory tests
• Performs other procedures per protocol
• Educates patients/caregivers how to maintain optimal health status
• Demonstrates self-care such as dressing changes, self-examinations, activities of daily living (e.g., hygiene), and use of adaptive equipment/devices
• Documents assessments, care and education provided to the patient.
• Maintains an adequate, current, and secure inventory of health care supplies
• Ensures that medical equipment and designated work areas are kept clean and serviceable.
• Fosters team work to ensure total care of patient/client and outside entities.
• Discusses the patients comprehensive health plan with other staff to identify the patients/clients needs.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Behavioral Health - PRN Job Qualifications:

• Complete a TN state approved Nursing Program and pass the NCLEX exam
• LPN licensure: active, current, and unrestricted in TN/Compact
• Valid Motor Vehicle license
• BLS or CPR
• 1 year experience
