The licensed Master's level clinician provides clinical mental health services to patients in an integrated primary care setting. Behavioral Health Providers work collaboratively with primary care providers to reduce barriers to mental health services.
The following qualifications or equivalents are the minimum requirements of this job:
Education and Formal Training: Masters degree completed in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in active and good standing; Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in good standing will also be considered, depending on previous experience in similar settings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with other team members, physicians, patients and their families. Must have strong critical thinking skills and exceptional ability to integrate knowledge. Excellent observation, communication and decision making abilities. Demonstrates professional and effective written and verbal communication skills. Valid, unencumbered NC driver's license.
