Job Summary
Behavioral Therapists will provide support and expertise in clinical therapeutic approach with the commitment of helping our clients achieve their full potential. Modify patient's behavior through psychological, social, or other types of interventions.
Train patient to increase awareness of his or her own behavior and its effect on others. Provide social services to patient and family; refer patients to community resources as appropriate. Therapists are expected to complete assessments, treatment plans and other documentation for services provided. Services will primarily be provided in the client's residence or in our Glendale office. Therapist will also provide training to client family and caregivers to improve interactions with the client.
Education / Experience
All Independent Contracted professionals must hold at a minimum of a master level degree from an accredited college or university in a human service-related specialty and be licensed by the AZBBHE. Independent Contracted paraprofessional must have a minimum of two years of documented full-time experience working with the client population being served.
Responsibilities
· Be able to provide client’s rights, and work with individuals, families, groups, and the clients treatment team to help in overcoming cognitive, behavioral, or emotional issues.
· Assess client needs and build customized solutions for behavior issues while establishing individual targets and goals.
· Develop treatment plans based on the patient's values, goals, and health using comments from the patient's treatment team and support system.
· Utilize evidence-based methods to provide group and individual treatment to patients and families.
· Prepare patient documentation and communicate pertinent clinical information to the patient, referring provider, and treatment team.
· Professionals/paraprofessionals must be able to work with all members of the community regardless of age, sex, race, religion or cultural/ethnic background.
· Construct a monthly report for the case manager.
· Abide by all agency policy regarding paperwork and billing requirements.
· Attend supervision sessions as required by agency policy & procedures.
· Show ability to provide proof of knowledge of expertise in all areas of practice.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
