SalaryBehavioral caregiver needed in Pismo Beach for low-functioning special needs 23 year old boy.
Duties include:
- Working on goals
- Behavior therapy (teach appropriate replacement behaviors)
- Therapy exercises
- Teaching words and skills
- Interacting and playing with him
- Personal care (dressing, toileting, bathing)
- Meal preparation/feeding
- Housecleaning/laundry/cooking
- Driving to activities
Experience:
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and basic medical procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral issues.
- Must be able to pass Live Scan
Skills:
- Enjoys teaching
- Wanting to learn ABA Therapy
- Reliable
- Hard working
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Self-starter
- Good housecleaning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
Hours are Saturday and Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you cannot do those hours, please do not apply. Prefer someone long-term and who can also do occasional overnights

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 13 per week
