Pay Range: $18 - $22 Per Hour
Job Description:
The Behavior Technician (BT) is an integral part of the clinical team and works 1:1 with clients and their families to implement treatment plans created by a BCBA using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in the home and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans designed by a BCBA, including behavior reduction goals and skill acquisition goals
- Collect data and complete session notes as instructed by a BCBA and in accordance with payer and company requirements
- Work collaboratively and professionally with the client, client's family, and outside providers
- Participate in ongoing trainings and supervision meetings
- Communicate professionally and work as part of a team with the BCBA and other clinical team members
- Maintain accurate records and timekeeping and submit documents in a timely fashion
- Complete 40-hour RBT training, pass exam, and meet certification requirements within 90 days of being hired
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow all HIPPA guidelines
Requirements:
- Meet requirements and obtain RBT credential within 90 days of hire
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or similar relevant experience
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working with challenging behaviors (e.g., physical aggression, self-injury, elopement, property destruction) and in home/community settings
- Working vehicle with active insurance, driver's license, and willingness to drive
- Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and move quickly as needed to ensure client safety
- Ability to use tablet and technology for data collection, session notes, and communication
