ABA Behavior Technician – Direct Care

Overview:

ABA Connections is seeking creative, qualified individuals to provide intensive therapy to children through the age of 21 years old that are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum

Disorder. ABA Behavior Technician will be responsible for implementing Applied

Behavior Analysis technology, which is a scientifically proven therapy to help with communication, functional skills, social skills and reducing challenging behaviors in the home, school and community. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

➢ Ensuring clients’ safety and direct supervision of clients➢ Using Electronic Platforms, Excel or other data collection system to graph daily progress of individuals

➢ Implement intensive service delivery to children with Autism➢ Adheres to ethical guidelines and HIPAA➢ Implement behavior plans as specified by the BCBA and BCaBA➢ Follow company policies, procedures and ensure staff compliance of all regulations

➢ Complete written responsibilities and end of shift reporting in a timely manner➢ Maintaining a clean and safe environment for individuals➢ Attend staff meetings as scheduled➢ Able to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, co-workers and parents

➢ Maintain positive relationships with families, insurance companies, and other clients

➢ Maintain positive attitude and collaborative team philosophy in all aspects of the job

➢ Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality➢ Complete assignments in a timely manner➢ Have flexible schedule to meet the needs of the individuals

Requirements of the position:

➢ Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or Registered Behavior Technician (preferred) or at least 2 years of college

➢ At least 6 months of experience working with children/adolescents (preferably with children with special needs)

➢ Must have reliable transportation➢ Must be able to pass a background check, sex offender list check, drug screen, recipient rights screen, federal background check, Department of Human Service background check and have a negative TB screen

➢ Must have evening availability (until 6:30p)

Physical Requirements:

➢ Mobility to work with individuals including: kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, repeated bending, reaching above the shoulder, walking, standing and sitting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, grasping small objects, and carrying up to 50 pounds.

➢ Ability to run, demonstrates quick reflexes, depth perception, and maintains a high level of energy.

➢ Must be able to follow written procedures and verbal directives.Training will include:

➢ Person Centered Plan/Treatment Plan➢ CPR/FA➢ Safety Care➢ Recipient Rights➢ Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (RBT)➢ HIPAA and Ethics➢ OSHA and Environmental Safety

Work Environment may include:

➢ Exposure of high decibel of noise from individuals, including crying, and/or yelling

➢ Exposure to bodily fluids➢ Exposure to individuals who may engage in aggressive and self-injurious behavior

➢ Community environments

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
