GENERAL STATEMENT:

Under the direct supervision of the Beautification Crew Leader and/or their designated representative, performs general skilled maintenance activities and functions along the designated Right of Way (R.O.W.) areas assigned. The incumbent's work schedule will be established by the Crew Leader and will include possible overtime work on an as-needed basis due to the nature of the position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance off all R.O.W. areas within the City limits.
  • Includes mowing, shredding, weed eating, tree trimming, mechanical blowing/physical sweeping of sidewalks, trash collection, and beautification.
• Must be able to operate mowing and shredding equipment.
• Will operate company vehicles and is responsible for the appearance, maintenance, organization, tool inventory, and safe operation of City Vehicles.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• Previous experience in R.O.W. maintenance or general landscaping preferred.

• Must have or be able to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License and be eligible for coverage under the City of Kyle's vehicle insurance provider.
