Atlas Concrete is currently seeking a Batch Supervisor/Plant Operator for our facility in Marshall, MI that is a highly motivated and driven individual on the quest for a challenge. In this role, the Batch Supervisor/Plant Operator works hands-on overseeing plant operations, concrete production, managing material inventories, and maintaining the batch plant.

The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years’ experience in all aspects of concrete production and the types of products produced.
- An understanding of QC/QA for the ready mix concrete industry.
- Knowledge of concrete production equipment, processes, and maintenance programs.
- Excellent organizational skills, and is able to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- The ability to use multiple forms of communication such as multi-line telephone system, mobile phones, two-way radios, emails, and other forms of communication methods.
- The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
- Union contract knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operating the batch plant for concrete production to the highest standards.
- Responsible for start of day and end of day batch plant preventative maintenance and cleaning.
- Forecasting and ordering all necessary production materials on a daily basis.
- Maintaining inventory records when products are received.
- Organizing all of the daily paperwork, invoices, ticket copies, and proper forms.
- Assist dispatcher in overflow calls, routing and scheduling.
- Previous knowledge and understanding of Union contracts.
- Must also be willing to work long hours and weekends during the peak season.
- Responsible for providing quality customer service and quality.
- Assists others in their duties as needed.

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)

- Construction Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
