Basketball Referee

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Referee to join our team. As a Referee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and maintaining the integrity of the game. If you have a passion for sports, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle conflicts effectively, we encourage you to apply.

Duties:
- Officiate basketball games and enforce rules and regulations
- Make fair and impartial decisions during gameplay
- Communicate with players, coaches, and spectators to ensure understanding of calls and maintain a respectful environment
- Manage conflicts or disputes that may arise during games
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring gameplay and enforcing safety protocols
- Keep accurate records of game scores, penalties, and other relevant information

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Referee or in sports coaching is preferred
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, and spectators
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
- Experience working with children is highly desirable

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, and spectators
- Conflict management abilities to handle disputes or conflicts that may arise during games
- Experience working with children in a sports setting
- Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations
- Sports coaching experience is an asset

Schedule:

Youth Adult Tournament (Elimination Style Tournament)

Date: April 13-14 Time: Saturday 9am-2 pm / Sunday 9am-5 pm

Adult Tournament

Date: April 27-28 Time: Saturday 9am-9 pm / Sunday 9am-2 pm

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
