Job Description
As a School-Based BCBA, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, collaborating with educators, and contributing to the overall success of our students.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors and develop effective behavior intervention plans.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure the effective implementation of behavior support strategies in the classroom.
- Provide training and ongoing support to staff members on behavior management techniques, strategies, and data collection methods.
- Analyze data to monitor progress, make data-driven decisions, and adjust intervention plans as needed.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, share insights, and coordinate support strategies.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide guidance and ensure consistency between school and home environments.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
- Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with students with autism and other developmental disorders in a school setting.
- Ability to lead, guide, and support school staff effectively.
