Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APCSI) is seeking an innovating and qualified Behavior intervention Specialist/Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field, preferable BCBA certified.
Provides interventions to targeted students to increase responsible behaviors and reduce negative behaviors, including but not limited to small group and one-on-one intervetnions. Condusts functional behavior assessments and writes behavior plans for assigned tudents.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct small group interventions
- Work directly with students with complex and challenging behavior
- Handle emotionally charged situations and assists with resolution between staff and students
- Maintain highly organized, consistent, thorough, and systematic record-keeping in regard to interventions and behavior plans
- Provide staff development, training, and modeling for team members (including parents) in strategies and methodologies for successful implementation of behavior plans
- Collaborate with building and district level staff to develop strategies within the classroom
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments
- Develop behavioral intervention plans
- Participate in 504 or Special Education conferences as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with state and federal guidelines in regard to student privacy
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and staff development sessions as needed
- Follow building and district procedures
- Communicate effectively and regularly with administrators, LEA Supervisor, staff, and parents
- Travel to each building within the district regularly
- Other Duties as assigned
