BAS Controls Technician

BAS Field Technician

• Under general direction, acts as the on-site project leader to execute and complete HVAC controls and other Building Automation System (BAS) projects.

• Manage a team on construction sites and adapt to pull off for a service call.

• Performs tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects.

• Task: system programming, installation, commissioning, and project closeout

• Participates in the installation of hardware designs and software programming.

• Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers, and HCL Mechanical account managers.

• Manages and completes the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers.

• Test and write modifications to systems software.

• Available 7am-3:30pm Monday – Friday 8 and/or 10-hour shift, available for overtime as required.

• Provides accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Distech programming experience and/or Niagara N4 programing Certified.

• Required at least 3 yrs. technical, hands-on experience in system commissioning and programming of digital HVAC controls systems (DDC systems).

• Knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems, HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems.

• Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc) and general Windows environment.

• Ability to discuss controls system with customers and HCL management.

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
