POSITION PURPOSE
The Bartender position creates legendary experiences for guests by creating a fun and
welcoming environment at the bar, serving food in the bar area and preparing flavorful
and satisfying beverages for all sports bar guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares beer, cocktail, and other beverage orders according to specs and Buffalo
Wild Wings (BWW) standards
- Diligently follows safety requirements and models behavior that protects them and
others
- Takes orders and serves guests food and beverages according to steps of service
- Makes personal connections with guests through engaging conversation and creates
a lively environment at the bar with an energized presence
- Assesses guests’ needs and displays salesmanship by recommending items,
upselling add-ons and customizations to enhance the guests’ experience
- Checks identification to ensure guests meet minimum age requirements for
consumption of alcoholic beverages and complies with Responsible Alcohol Service
(RAS) procedures as defined by federal and state laws
- Stays current on all federal, state, local and company required training and
certifications
- Monitors current levels of inventory including stemware, glassware, garnishes, etc.
to ensure proper levels, and prepares, washes, and sterilizes these items to
replenish inventory as required
- Busses, cleans and sanitizes bar tables, bar rail and chairs according to company
standards
- Properly resets bar tables and bar rail for future guests
- Maintains a clean and sanitary bar area and equipment
- Utilizes point-of-sale (POS) system for food and beverage orders and payment
transactions
- Handles assigned bank, following BWW cash handling procedures
- Tracks beverage waste during shift
- As needed, runs food to guests’ tables, paying close attention to pivot points/seat
numbers
- As needed, quality checks food presentation, adherence to recipes and order
accuracy, paying close attention to any noted special requests/modifiers and
allergies
