The Bariatric Care Coordinator is a member of the MBS team who under the direct supervision of the Nursing Leadership and the MBS nurse manager/director assists in ensuring efficient management of the Bariatric program and schedules. Functions as the primary coordinator for the bariatric program, elective surgical procedures, nutritional class scheduling, outpatient testing, and hospital visits. Performs all clerical functions in the department and inputs data into appropriate computer systems. The Bariatric Care Coordinator communicates with nursing, nutritionist, radiology, laboratory, cardiology, respiratory, preop and OR staff for day to day coordinating of care. Troubleshoots and resolves issues as they arise within the department. Functions as a role model and resource to staff and patients.
Foothill Regional Medical Center is a fully accredited acute care hospital, licensed for 177 beds-120 beds for general acute care, 15 intensive care beds and 42 pediatric sub-acute beds. Our pediatric sub-acute unit, just one of six in California, serves patients from throughout the state. We care for patients up to 21 years of age who need long-term sub-acute care including ventilator care and nutritional support.
