THE JOB

The primary responsibility of the barback is to provide all necessary support to the bartenders during events, ensuring that they have all of the tools they need to provide fast and efficient service to guests. In addition, they are responsible for setup, breakdown, cleaning, and stocking on both event and non-event days.

• Setting up and breaking down bars on event days
• Ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, mixers, wine and beer during events
• Keeping bars and storage areas clean and organized, including garbage disposal and ware-washing
• Preparation of batched cocktails and garnishes
• Ensure venue compliance with all DOH regulations
• Receiving alcohol and dry goods deliveries during the week
• Taking inventory
• Cleaning and sanitizing of refrigeration units, ice machines, draft units, and ice machines
• General labor related to the operation of the beverage department

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Some previous barback experience
• Must possess a current Food Handler’s Card
• A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute assignments
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
• Must be courteous and professional
• Must be at least 21 years of age

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds
• Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for at least 12 hours during events
• Must be willing to work long shifts, including overnight shifts
• Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others
• Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, able to stand for long periods of time
