ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications. The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future. The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.
- Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm, enthusiastic and friendly manner
- Continuously monitor the guest’s service level and comfort at all times utilizing aggressive hospitality skills
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
- Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments
- Take ownership of all guest compliments or complaints and relay same to management
- Meet with function group leader to determine last minute changes and discuss various setup arrangements
- Ensure proper cleaning of all equipment after function is completed
- Supervise assigned banquet personnel throughout functions
- Assist staff with room set ups, food service, and clean up when necessary
- Maintain Driftwood and hotel standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service
- Ensure guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product
- Must have “50” radio system with ear piece at all times
- Attend required meetings
- Other duties may be assigned
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors
- Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures
- Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care
- Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change
- Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development
- Conducts him\herself (acts and dresses) professionally at all times; sets standards for all associates

- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions
- Must have knowledge applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
- Must have good mathematical and computer skills
- High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred
- Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates
- Additional language ability preferred
- Minimum lifting and/or pulling of 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques
- Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
- If weight exceeds 40 pounds, asking for assistance is required
- Reading hearing, writing
