Banquet Captain

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of banquet events, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction. This is a key leadership role within our hotel, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise all aspects of banquet events, including set-up, service, and breakdown
- Ensure that all banquet staff are properly trained and adhere to company standards
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring quality and consistency
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the event, promptly addressing any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create customized menus and accommodate special dietary needs
- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment, coordinating with the appropriate departments for replenishment
- Assist in scheduling banquet staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all events
- Handle cash handling procedures accurately and securely
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and payment transactions

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Familiarity with banquet operations, including set-up, service, and breakdown procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
