Bank Teller

Anna-Jonesboro National Bank is seeking applications for the following position: Teller

ABOUT THIS JOB

As a teller, you are responsible for providing multiple front-line financial services to customers. Daily duties for this position include (but are not limited to) providing outstanding customer service and processing financial transactions while adhering to compliance of policies, procedures, and audit standards. The teller position is a entry-level position into the banking industry that can lead to career growth opportunities. Ideal candidates are strong multi-taskers with exceptional communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Greet customers in a friendly and respectful manner

· Accurately process customers’ financial transactions to include but not limited to: cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, redeeming savings bonds, money orders, cashier’s checks, coin exchange, phone transactions, night drop transactions, and account and statement inquiries

· Correctly and carefully encode tickets for customer transactions

· Document and process night drop transactions accurately using dual control

· Verify signatures and endorsements on all checks and exercising caution for those that have two signatures required or warnings placed on the account

· Minimize losses by maintaining daily record of all overages/shortages, following teller policies and procedures

· Adhere to compliance of policies, procedures and audit standards

· Remain current on and informed of standard operating procedures as updated

· Efficiently resolve customer concerns, assist with lobby traffic flow, and operate teller station effectively

· Perform all related duties in processing coin transactions for the customer. This includes replacement of bags on coin machine, daily coin machine balancing, and preparing coin for shipment

· Perform all related duties to safe deposit boxes, including allowing authorized customers access, checking the slide outs or booth for items left behind, etc.

· Knowledge of the products and services offered by AJNB

· Proactively managing peak transaction periods

· Stay updated on security issues and report any security threats

· Maintain regular and predictable attendance

· Other duties as assigned

Availability on Friday evening and Saturday morning is a must. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
