POSITION DESCRIPTION

Functional Job Title: Bank Teller

Reports To: Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager

Status: Full Time

Date: June 7, 2023

Job Summary:

Provides superior and quality customer service and provides customers efficient and accurate transaction processing. Sells the Bank’s products and services and provides customer referrals for new products and services on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

1. Promotes and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers and potential customers.

2. Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
3. Contribute to the fulfillment of department and company objectives and goals.
4. Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.
5. May train new employees and answer co-workers questions.
6. Will be involved in ordering, receiving, verifying and distributing cash.
7. Operates a teller’s window to serve the bank’s customers by:

• Accepting consumer and/or commercial deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and giving customers their receipts.
• Identifying customers and cashing checks, or referring customers to an officer for authorization to cash checks.
• Accepting savings deposits and withdrawals, verifying signatures.
• Providing additional customer service including, but not limited to, Cashier’s

Checks, Personal Money Orders, Savings Bonds, Travelers’ Cheques, and

Stop Payments.

• Balance cash daily
• Accepting and processing payments for all loans.

8. May be responsible for opening/closing, including working overtime.9. Promotes the bank’s products and services; consistently cross-sells bank products at every opportunity.10. Makes a concentrated effort to solve customer problems.11. Follows teller over/short policy.12. All other duties as assigned.Training And Compliance:

Must complete required training courses and any other assigned regulatory courses required to complete duties.

Physical Limitations:

Work may require bending, sitting, and standing, reaching and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

Prior banking experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
