Summary:
The Badging Specialist works independently on multiple tasks simultaneously maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. The Badging Specialist must be able to focus and perform well under pressure with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines regarding the issuance of employee, student and contractor badges/access clearances. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Badging specialist work includes entering data and issuing employee, contractor and student badges.
2. Issuing temporary badges.
3. Create, issue and remove access clearances/groups.
4. Work with PowerPoint presentations and computer problem solving,
5. Prepare, schedule and attend meetings regarding badging operations.
6. Manages the daily badging operations, organizes work, sets priorities, meets critical deadlines and follows-up assignments with minimum direction.
7. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in daily activities and executive administrative details of a confidential nature.
8. Completes special assignments requiring collecting, organizing and analyzing data.
9. Prepares confidential correspondence. Prepares reports and other documents.
10. Conducts access control audits.
11. Answers telephone calls, emails and personal encounters regarding the badging and access control system providing information and resolving complaints using good judgment and the interpretation of policies and procedures.
12. Performs other work-related duties or projects as assigned.
Required Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Proactive and resourceful.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic software skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, scheduling/calendar software.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and schedules.

- Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with all levels.
