Locations:
Work from home. Preference is given to candidates in the following locations:
Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV)
West Virginia
Pennsylvania
Basic Position Responsibilities:
- Manage case(s) and conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals
- Review appropriate records to obtain facts to resolve all material issues in a case or to establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject under investigation
- Document all information received
- Write detailed reports in a timely manner and submit before the deadlines
- Travel to conduct interviews both within and outside the home area
Required Skills and Experience:
- DCSA credentialed or the ability to obtain based on National Training Standard certification and experience conducting background investigations
- Ability to write clear, concise, extensive, and lengthy reports within a strict timeline
- Exceptional oral communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree with 1 year (or 4 years without) of general investigation experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in problem-solving, planning and organizing work, and communicating effectively orally and in writing
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office applications
- A private room such as a home office equipped with high-speed Internet
- Current driver's license and reliable personal vehicle

- Impeccable work ethic and integrity
Physical Demands:
- Ability to physically perform as a Credentialed Independent Background Investigator
- Exceptional in-person and telephone etiquette
- Willingness to extensively travel locally on a daily basis dependent on workload and assignment location
Required Security:
- US Citizenship
- Active Top Secret Clearance based on a T5 Investigation and the ability to maintain a favorable determination
