The Role
This position is responsible for assisting the serving staff in delivering and serving food and/or beverages in a friendly and professional manner, resulting in an exceptional experience for the Spurs Club members and guests.

The Spurs Club will be the first-of-its-kind in the NBA, featuring multiple bars, fine dining, lounge and personal workspace all with private elevator access and exclusive views of the Spurs practice courts.
Responsibilities:
- Strong food knowledge base and a very detailed understanding and memorization of menu items to include drinks, food, and specials.
- Demonstrates and follows all rules and regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Make recommendations and answer questions regarding dish preparations.
- Serve food, beverage and accompaniments in a friendly and courteous manner ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Keeps the work area clean and sufficiently stocked.
- Suggestively sell beverage and menu items.
- Secures payment for food and beverage orders.
- Monitor and observe guests’ dining experience and keep chefs and managers informed of any issues that may affect quality for timing of service.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least one year’s experience in similar role, preferably in fine dining or high-volume establishment.
- Current TABC and Food Handler’s Certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
