Professional Experience
- Master’s degree in early childhood studies, child development, human development, developmental psychology, education, or a related field
- Experience working with children in an early childhood or primary grade educational setting (K-12)
- Educational content development and curriculum design experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Contractor will serve as a content reviewer for assigned program materials to assist with development of the Babysitter’s Training program.
- Contractor will secondarily assist with the global direction of the Babysitter’s Training program by collaborating with other SMEs and the Client's team as needed.
- Contractor will critically review assigned program materials (i.e., participant's handbook, instructor manual, blended learning online sessions, videos) for global program revisions as well as appropriateness, clarity, accuracy, standardization, and consistency throughout program.
- Contractor will review content based on scheduled and batched review cycles at the direction of the Director, Project Management or assigned lead editor.
- Contractor will provide consultation and accountability for content review and program direction with other team members including writers, editors, professional practice organizations, and other subject matter experts.
- Contractor will partner with other internal and external subject matter experts as needed to ensure content meets requirements for scientific guidelines as well as meeting necessary health care quality, safety, accreditation, and regulatory requirements as appropriate.
Program is designed to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic childcare and basic first aid. This training is designed for youths ages 11 to 15. Topics include:

- The Business of Babysitting
- Safe and Sound on the Job
- Understanding Kids from 0 to 10
- From Feeding to Bedtime
- It’s an Emergency…Now What?
- First Aid, CPR and AED
Project start Date: 15 March, 2024 (Tentative)
Project End Date: 31 January, 2024 (Tentative)
Time Commitment: average of 20 hours per week from mid-March 2024-January 2025.
Salary: $30-35 per hour
