As a B2B Content Writer at Apartment List, you will play a key role on our Supply Acquisition marketing team in developing content to nurture potential property management company partners down the sales funnel. Reporting to the Director of Supply Acquisition, you will create blog posts, white papers, playbooks, gated content, and other collateral to accelerate the number of rental units listed on our site.
Content Marketing is essential for establishing Apartment List as a trusted resource and driving conversions of prospective partners. As our first dedicated supply Content Writer, you will help us increase property inventory on our marketplace by crafting highly informative, tailored content for property managers and decision-makers. You will work closely with Sales, Content, Product Marketing, and Supply Operations to understand pain points and opportunities.
This is a part-time contract role for 20 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $40/hour. This is a remote, contract position for up to 6 months.
Here's what you'll do as part of the team:
- Create emails, LinkedIn posts, blog posts, white papers, and long-form articles that speak to property manager pain points and solution-based content that establishes Apartment List as an industry authority
- Develop gated content offers (e.g. templates, playbooks, guides) to nurture prospects down the sales funnel
- Create a content strategy for each stage of the sales funnel to increase conversions
- Conduct market research to stay on the pulse of property manager content needs and identify new opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Sales, and Supply Operations to understand priority topics and content opportunities related to increasing property supply
- Track content performance (traffic, conversions, etc.) and optimize based on results
- Collaborate with the design team on content layouts, visuals, and overall presentation
- Maintain a strong understanding of SEO best practices and implement them within content
- Contribute ideas for innovative content formats and platforms to reach audiences
Here are the skills and experience required:
- 3+ years experience as a B2B Content Writer or content marketer preferably within the Proptech and Multifamily industry
- Experience creating B2B collateral including white papers, blog posts, playbooks, and email content
- Strong research skills and ability to quickly become a subject matter expert on new topics
- Excellent writing skills with an understanding of writing for SEO
- Proficiency in working with marketing automation and email service platforms
- Meticulous attention to detail with flawless grammar and editing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
