Azure Cloud Developer Intern - Job Overview:
Applied Concepts has been known for its exceptional law enforcement Radar & Lidar systems for over 46 years. We're based in Richardson, TX, less than 3 miles from the UTD campus. We're taking big steps to transition over to cloud-based platforms and our team is looking for motivated Azure Cloud Developer interns to join us for Fall 2023 and beyond.
We are looking for two part-time interns (with flexible start dates); hours per week will be project-based but are negotiable in advance. This internship requires occasional availability for scheduled onsite meetings, but this is mostly a work-from-home position.
The compensation for this internship is $20-$30 per hour, based on skill set and education level. (No relocation assistance is possible for out-of-area candidates).
Azure Cloud Developer Intern - How You'll Make an Impact:
As an Azure Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, prototyping, and testing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services and technologies. You will also collaborate with other developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure that the solutions meet business requirements and adhere to the best practices and standards.
Azure Cloud Developer Intern - Qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, or related field.
- Familiar with common learning-based algorithms, such as classification, clustering, DNN, embedding, multi-task learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Proficient in at least one programming language, such as C# & Python.
- Proficiency in SQL (MySQL or MS SQL) & Java, JavaScript.
- Knowledge of cloud security, performance, scalability, and reliability principles and practices.
- Good problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Added bonus if you have:
- Experience in C/C++, JavaScript and Java.
- Experience in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing tools.
- Exposure to big data concepts (Hadoop, Pyspark)
- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing
