JOB TITLE: AWS Infrastructure Architect

LOCATION: Houston, Texas
DURATION: 12 months
RATE RANGE: $90/hr. - $95/hr.
SUMMARY: AWS Infrastructure Architect will work as part of a highly technical team of professionals responsible for all Cloud architectural design, development, and deployment of cost-effective and sustainable infrastructures to meet business requirements. Strong organizational skills, business acumen, technical expertise, and attention to detail are essential in this role. The Infrastructure Architect is also responsible for collaborating in cross-functional design and planning activities to ensure applications and services requirements are identified, documented and supported.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect innovative solutions built on AWS best practices that are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Design and Implement AWS architectures and environments
- Play a key role in migrating and transforming legacy solutions to the Cloud
- Design native Cloud Infrastructure Architectures and modernize applications running on AWS
- Responsible for providing a secure, reliable, and agile cloud environment to MRO business.
- Architect, build, and manage accounts and services in AWS using Control Tower and Service Catalog products.
- Manage the demand and the implementation of planned and emergency changes according to defined change control methodology and strategy
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands-on experience in AWS cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience of Control Tower, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Guard duty, AWS cloud trail, AWS Config, AWS Lambda, Trusted advisor, AWS Organizations, Transit Gateway Service, AWS SSO, and AWS Security services.
- Extensive experience with different AWS services (EC2, IAM, Route53, SSM, S3, EFS, EBS, ELB, EKS, ECS, Lambda, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, SQS, SNS, RDS, Cloud Formation, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Athena, Kinesis, etc.)
- Knowledge in infrastructure operations, incident management, problem management, configuration management, and change management processes.
- Experience with application discovery, preferably with tools like Cloudscape, to Client application configurations, databases, filesystems, and application dependencies.
- Hands-on experience in migrating applications to cloud leveraging proven tools and processes, including migration, implementation, cutover, and rollback plans and execution
- Implement Security best practices as per the cloud security best practices and NIST guidelines.
