Job Summary:
The AVP/Sr. Financial Analyst II is responsible for providing financial reporting support for the Controller and Chief Financial Officer. The AVP is responsible for maintaining general ledger and related computer systems and processing accounting and investment transactions. The AVP strives to achieve a standard of excellence that reflects the use of innovative solutions and maintains high productivity standards.
Pay Range: Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $74,663/yr Max- $124,438/yr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing financial reporting support:
- Accountable for the accurate and complete compilation of information and timely reporting to regulatory agencies as outlined in the Regulatory Reports Procedures. Reports include but are not limited to: 8-K, 10-K, 10-Q, and other Securities and Exchange Commission reports as required
- Assist in preparation for quarterly earnings releases
- Responsible for EDGARizing 8-Ks
- Compiles all supporting documentation for SEC reports/earnings release
- Acts as primary liaison with Merrill XBRL Services
- Assist in preparing annual proxy statement
- Train on Prologue and provide support for financial reports automation
- Research peer group information and prepares analysis as from SNL
- Assist in the preparation of the insider reports as needed
- Respond to inquiries from external auditors
- Assist in the forecasting/budgeting process as needed
- Research information on Bank Intelligence for the annual Strategic Plan
- Assist in package preparation for the Board of Directors and the Finance and Investment Committee meetings
- Limited supervision required; may train Financial Analyst/Accountants and oversees completion of the analyst’s assigned duties
- Train and serve as a backup for Reporting Analyst in administering the stock options, restricted stock awards, restricted stock units and performance restricted stock units
- Assist management with projects as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven time management and problem solving skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and make necessary decisions within a fast paced environment
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in an autonomous manner
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Ability to foster a collaborative team environment

The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of job related laws and regulations and must maintain current compliance knowledge by attending compliance related training seminars and staff meetings and by reading pertinent compliance related materials.
