Job Summary:
The Reinsurance Actuarial Pricing department of Everest Global Services, a member of the Everest Group, Ltd. is looking for an AVP level candidate to join either our Warren, NJ, Stamford, CT or NYC office. This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office, 2 remote.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Be the lead pricing actuary for our Mortgage book.
  • Price reinsurance treaties and liaise with underwriting in support of our Mortgage book of business, with a potential to support other Credit, Surety, Treaty Casualty and other North America teams.
  • Peer review pricing for other members of the team.
  • Provide recommendations on changes to the in-house Mortgage model.
  • Work with ERM to implement necessary changes to the model.
  • Participate in client visits, broker meetings, and marketing events as requested by the underwriters.
  • Work with management to produce presentations and reports to meet management, board, and strategy reporting needs.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • ACAS/FCAS preferred.
  • Years of experience: 10+ in P&C Actuarial Pricing with 3+ within mortgage or credit lines.
  • Experience in mortgage or credit lines space is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
  • Ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, and excellent communications skills.
  • Able to work in dynamic and agile environment.
  • Able to successfully work with other stakeholders - other actuaries, underwriters and ERM.
  • Technical know-how including Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or R strongly preferred.

For NYC Only: The base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $230,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
