Moody’s Digital Finance team covers the analytical and operational aspects of emerging technologies and risks, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital assets, and cyber security.

Role/Responsibilities : |
Within the Digital Finance team, the Associate Vice President – Data Science (AVP – Data Science) will be responsible for developing machine learning solutions for high-profile data science initiatives. The AVP – Data Science will notably focus on designing and training predictive analytics models and creating high-value-added solutions converting quantitative predictions into actionable insights for the business. A successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the various steps of a machine learning project, including modeling, data engineering, and MLOps. The candidate should also be innovation-minded, result-oriented, autonomous, and able to deliver finished products, sometimes under short deadlines. The data science team will work closely with technology teams, rating and research teams, and other departments. The candidate should therefore be able to collaborate across multiple divisions and communicate clearly and understandably to business representatives unfamiliar with data science. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$153,100]] – [[$221,950]], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
