About the role:
The AVP Credit Risk Analytics is hands on leaderhip role managing, developing and monitoring sophisticated Credit Risk management strategies associated with loan and lease acquisition activities. This role leads credit analysis to support credit policy, credit procedures, market analysis, product testing and identification of emerging trends, risks and opportunities. Additionally, The AVP Credit Risk Analytics summarizes and reports Credit Risk information to senior leadership as well as interacting cross functionally with other areas of our business in the interest of achieving company objectives.
ResponsibilitiesWhat makes you a dream candidate?
- You have demonstrated understanding of data warehouses, data mining, reporting, data analysis and data visualization techniques
- You have mastery of coding SAS and/or SQL for data mining and manipulation, and querying skills and knowledge in a data warehouse environment
- Effective written and verbal presentation skills with an ability to communicate well with Executive and Senior Management
- Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in origination trends and credit performance
- Manage ad hoc research projects incorporating project design, data collection and analysis, summarization of findings and presentation of results
- Lead efforts to effectively summarize and communicate origination trends, credit execution and credit performance to senior management with a focus on identifying areas of risk or opportunity
- Lead a team of analysts, developing performance objectives and assisting in their skill and career growth
- Participate in leadership initiatives of the Credit Risk Analysis team and the Risk Management department as a whole
- Perform other duties as assigned and conform with all company policies and procedures
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, MIS, or other quantitative field required
- Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, MIS, or other quantitative field preferred
Experience
- 5-7 years related leadership experience (formal or informal) working with complex Excel workbooks, querying large multi-table datasets, data analysis and data presentation
- Proficiency with the following tools: SAS and/or SQL, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
- 5-7 years experience in consumer and/or commercial loan and lease origination analysis preferred
