We are looking to hire an Electronics Technician to work with our existing team of engineers and technicians on converting a Robinson R44 helicopter to tele-operations. This is a great role for an Electronics Technician that is interested in building a product from the ground up and isn’t afraid that the manual is still being written.
Responsibilities
- Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to build and test prototype flight ready harnesses and provide feedback on design documentation.
- Support electrical engineers on PCB development including modification to surface mount components and construction of test equipment based on informal instruction.
- Assist in preparing and running equipment tests, including field logistics and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain test equipment of an electrical nature required for the R&D program.
- Manage tool and part inventories and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hangar space.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in electronics development
- Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office and mobile/tablet-based applications
- Competence with a wide selection of hand and power tools typically used for electronics work
- Competence reading 2D engineering drawings (mechanical and electrical)
- Experience working with harness design software
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working on an experimental aircraft program
- Understanding of UAS systems and operations
- Relevant STEM qualifications
- Dynamic, hands-on, and action-oriented personality; adaptable and multi-disciplinary focus
- Comfortable working in a collaborative/team environment and solving problems as part of a group
- Intellectual curiosity, and excitement for the mission
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
