Requirements and skills
- Experienced PI (OSIsoft) Admin/Developer with 5+ years' experience in integrating systems with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI software.
- Programming skills: C#, .Net, Visual Studio, SSIS, API/Adapter calls, SQL, Microsoft PowerBI
- Responsible for support, maintenance, architecture, and development of OSI PI Data Historian infrastructure supporting Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers.
- Must be able to take on a project and run with it with minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in support activities.
- Knowledge of ITIL tools like ServiceNow.
- Creation/modification of PI tags
- PI AF Element templates and AF Elements
- PI based dashboards (PI Vision/Process Book)
- PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications and PI Event Frames
- PI Interfaces: OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI
- Self-Motivated and Ability to learn quickly and independently.
- Execute system testing activities and work with testers..
- Engage customers/stakeholders during the entire development lifecycle.
- Ability to provide detailed documentation of end-to-end solution.
- PI System Infrastructure and Developer Accreditation from Aveva/OSIsoft preferred
- Aveva/OSIsoft PI System Developer and administration.
- Manage technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning, and resolving application issues.
- Required to respond to system alerts 24x7 to resolve issues and ensure application availability; bi-weekly on call rotation.
- Collaborate with peers to translate business requirements to Technical Design Specifications, and design develop code for Control Center applications as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of the OSI PI Historian for Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers by implementing system enhancement, monitoring server status, and responding to alerts.
- Utilize management skills to define road maps and delivery for complex and high impact projects related to SCADA OMS integrations.
- Periodically review and update procedures and Disaster Recovery documents related to the PI Historian infrastructure, and other associated systems such as OMS and SCADA.
- Develop system alerts and monitoring tools.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
