Summary:
The transmission trainee technician is partnered up with a senior transmission tech to shadow and receive on the job training. The trainee will complete all work assigned by the supervising senior technician. In this position the trainee is to assist with rebuilding and installing new and remanufactured transmissions successfully. This position also provides manufacturer paid training and certifications.
Pay Scale: Wages include base hourly compensation of between $22.00 34.00.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Shadowing senior transmission technician and assist in repairs as needed.
Learn and understand how to rebuild and install new and remanufactured transmissions.
Perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
Performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance and minor repairs as directed.
Perform video inspections, complete all paperwork in compliance with manufacturer and BAR regulations.
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Attends training classes and departmental meetings.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Must maintain and complete manufacturer training.
Must maintain a u minimum pro-efficiency
Education and/or Experience
2 - 3 experience or training in the field.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mechanic certifications A PLUS**
Dealer experience A PLUS**
