ALLDATA Technical Editors work with others who share a passion for automotive technology, diagnosis and repair. Editors leverage their automotive knowledge and computer savvy to create and enhance ALLDATA's content offering. Editors in this role: analyze, edit, inspect, track and publish automotive repair and collision content using a proprietary software suite. If you want to use your automotive knowledge in an office environment to help shops across the globe, look no further.
Position Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:
• Analyze OEM and aftermarket content.
• Learn and effectively use proprietary software programs to process and enrich content.
• Adhere to editorial processes and specifications.
• Perform functional and content quality checks, provide feedback for quality assurance improvements in data accuracy and processing efficiency.
• Create, review and update process documentation.
• Research and answer technical questions related to automotive systems and ALLDATA products.
• Participate in meetings, committees and groups.
• Assist internal and external customers to accomplish company objectives.
• Participate in software testing and other special projects or assignments.
• Positive attitude and lead by example.
• Provide detailed time and activity reports.
• This position has no direct reports.
Position Requirements:
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of automotive technology.
• 6+ years of automotive experience as a technician.
• ASE Mater technician or OEM equivalent.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems, MS Excel and MS Word.
• Thrive in a team environment.
• Possess excellent communication, collaboration, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Quick learner that adapts to change quickly and easily.
• Self-motivated and quality results oriented.
• Ability to become a manufacturer subject matter expert with a clear understanding of OEM data structures, content types, and content capabilities to be a decision maker related to content processing for an assigned manufacturer.
Salary: $53,600 - $89,500
Compensation Range (USD): MIN 53600.0 - MID 71500.0 - MAX 89500.0
