Fleet Vehicle Gas / Diesel Mechanic In SLC
- We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled mechanic who is self-motivated, accountable, and possesses strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and as part of a team and have experience with a diverse fleet of vehicles, Vans, Trucks, including gas and diesel-powered, and medium-duty diesel vehicles and some GSE.
Employment Type: Full Time M-F
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle/equipment condition.
- Complete preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to keep equipment available for use.
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing or replacing various components and systems.
- Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance, adjusting controls and systems as necessary.
- Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements.
- Keep detailed records of services and repairs.
- Manage shop equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Control costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service/part options.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and parts.
- Provide excellent customer service, including effective communication with clients regarding their vehicles.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Be prepared for field inspections and repairs in various weather conditions.

Requirements:
- GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proven experience as a mechanic
- Own Tools needed
- Must Pass Background
