Job Summary:
The Controls Technician provide production support for controls and manufacturing execution systems. You will work with production PLCs, IO, and HMIs while assisting with troubleshooting equipment/process issues. This will include revision management, version verification, creating and storing backups, and software troubleshooting.
Job Duties:
- Automation & Controls
- Work with maintenance to troubleshoot and determine the root cause of failure.
- Troubleshoot, configure and deploy torque tools, leak testers, crimping hardware, automated equipment, PLC & IO, to name a few.
- Participate in automation-related projects.
- Data & Systems
- Modify SQL database by manually inserting/manipulating existing records to adjust a station's queue or history.
- Troubleshoot, configure, and/or deploy Zebra label printers, barcode scanners, and PC hardware.
- Participate in MES/SCADA-related projects.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting automation and controls. (Will consider classroom work if a current student or recent graduate).
- Basic knowledge of PCs, Thermal label printers, Barcode scanners, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC programs
- Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and set up and wire basic low voltage controls, PLCs, IO, etc.
