The IPL Team is looking to fill the role of Automation Technician in their Urbana/ Springfield, Ohio facility. The Automation Technician is responsible for the set up and efficient operation of post mold automation equipment. New equipment and improvement projects are a significant part of the job.
The Urbana/ Springfield Facility is one of the primary manufacturing sites for producing customized thin-wall injection molded containers, lids, overcaps and custom packaging solutions for branded and private label food and consumer product companies all over the world. IPL is the trusted innovation partner to some of the biggest brands in the world and by working closely with customers to design and develop the right solution, millions of people around the world use our products every day.

What you will bring to the role:
Experience in Automation Machine Programming, Maintenance and repair.
Essential experience and skills:

• Automation Machine Programming. maintenance and repair
• Certifications in Automation or other related maintenance/technical fields, a plus
• Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems
• Isolate issues and repair or replace any necessary components
• Ability to analyze and problem-solve during troubleshooting situations.
• Above average knowledge of automation programming
• Above average knowledge of electrical components
• Positive and professional attitude and demeanor

The successful candidate will:

• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
• Frequent climbing and the ability to work from tall heights using a lift.
• Above average attendance
• Ability to learn quickly and with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
• Previous forklift certification
