Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Automation Systems Developer (PI Process Historian) within our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, based in the Houston, Texas office.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing OSI PI screens and tags used to visualize, historize and analyze Oil & Gas processing information.
- Provide daily support to Operations and any other team that may require PI Process Historian assistance.
- Provide support in day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of the PI Process Historian and real-time systems and data
- Interact with Automation, Communications, and IT for troubleshooting as needed.
- Configure PI tags and Asset Framework hierarchies associated to new and existing facilities and wells.
- Configure Predictive and Prescriptive Analyses in AF.
- Configure User Dashboards in PI-Vision and Excel for Process Historian data visualization.
- Support integration of OSI-PI with other production systems such as PDB, Procount, and ODS.
- Support integration of OSI-PI with other internal real-time systems such as Cygnet, ICONICS, GIS or external near-real-time systems such as Enbase or Baker.
- Maintain project schedule to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Maintain daily maintenance schedule and communicate completed tasks.
- Participate in a callout rotation, responding to callouts as required.
- Participate in strategic discussions geared towards the betterment of the team and services provided.
- Represent ORCM Automation as Subject Matter Experts (SME) for internal and external correspondence.
- Assist in evaluation of new technologies.
- Provide training and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- 4-year technical degree or equivalent working experience.
- 3 years of OSI PI experience is preferred.
- 2 years of Oil and Gas experience.
Required knowledge and skills
- OSI PI at an expert level. (AF / PI Vision / PI Server)
- Windows Server platforms and knowledge of how to work within the system.
- OPC DA and OPC UA
- Relational Databases such as SQL Server.
- C , C#, VB, VBA, Java.
- Facility technical information such as P&IDs, PFDs, Instrument Index, Cause and Effect.
- ISA 5.1 tag naming conventions.
- PLCs, RTUs & EFMs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong written, oral and project management skills.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
