Automation Engineering Tech Iii

Under the supervision of the Systems Architect and working in conjunction with Corp. IT resources, this individual will be accountable for developing, installing, managing and maintaining the SCADA and MES Systems for plant operations, integrations with ERP and 3rd party software, and maintaining PLC and HMI programs.

Job Functions:

• Develop, maintain, and deploy new Aveva System Platform Galaxy, Objects, Scripts, and InTouch applications.
• Develop, maintain, and deploy MES objects, workflows, OEE, Quality, etc.
• Develop, maintain, and deploy API integrations between third party software.
• Develop, modify, maintain, and deploy new thin clients and other hardware, including I/O networks as required working in conjunction with Corp. IT resources.
• Work with a team to integrate SCADA systems with the PLC/device layer.
• Modify and maintain database tables, views, functions, and stored procedures.
• Develop, modify, and maintain new information reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Maintain electrical drawings to ensure current and accurate documentation of the plant's electrical and controls systems.
• Work with a team on troubleshooting of plant systems and SCADA/MES integrations.
• Rotate 24/7 On-Call Support with a team.
• Provide troubleshooting help and guidance to the plant's maintenance department as required.
• Assist in the development of a technical training program for the maintenance department in the areas of process controls, electrical systems, and instrumentation.
