Our client is a food manufacturing company, and they are looking for a Automation and Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.  The Sr. Automation and Electrical Engineer is responsible for all aspects related to Electricity, Automation, Process Control, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and the Factory Automation System (FAS) infrastructure, applications, and resources.

• Salary of $85-100k
• M-F Night shift position (6 pm to 6 am). Will eventually move to AWS (alternate work schedule) where they will work 2 on 2 off, then 3 on 3 off.

Automation and Electrical Engineer responsibilities

 

• Support the design, installation and commissioning, qualification, and validation of capital upgrades to manufacturing controls systems including PLC (Allen Bradley) & HMIs.
• Provide support to ensure the reliability of electrical and process control equipment, both HW and SW, for the factory
• Manage and optimize all technical aspects of the plant’s electrical power distribution from the utility company service entrance down through switchboards, transformers, distribution panels, etc. to all individual loads.
• Participate and validate design of the power distribution system, motor control centers, control panels, human machine interface (HMI), instrumentation, system integration, FAS architecture and commissioning and start up. 
• Manage project and supervise electrical construction projects

Automation and Electrical Engineer requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related
• 3 years as factory Controls and/or Automation Engineer
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming
• In-depth knowledge of electricity, in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage installations. 
• Knowledge of food processing operations and technology, GMP and food safety
• Proficiency with MS Office/MS Project
