Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Aerospace)-to 170k-Reputable and Stable Company!!
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: Start time is between 6:30/8 am will work 8 hr. days and 40hrs a week. Employee has the option to work 9/80 shift which would allow for M-Th 9hrs and 1 Friday 8hrs with the other Friday off over a two-week schedule.
Salary/Compensation: 115-170k negotiable and DOE
A growing company capable of designing and reverse engineering numerous types of aerospace parts and solutions is looking to add a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to their team of Professionals near Oklahoma City.
Required Responsibilities:
Drawing interpretation for customer prints
Load and revise bills of material (BOMs) in Costpoint (ERP system)
Evaluate alternate and substitute parts to support legacy production lines
Revise internal technical documentation to include drawings, test plans/procedures
Take immediate action to support production with the use of redlined drawings
Design printed circuit board (PCB) schematics and layout in Altium
Run electrical simulations in Multisim
Create LabView programs to run autonomous testing
Write detailed Acceptance Test Procedures and Qualification Test Procedures based off of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-704
Support projects through prototype build and testing
Conduct qualification analysis to include MTBF, electromagnetic effects, parts de-rating, reliability, maintainability, and operational service life
Support the solicitation process by providing research, estimating Engineering hours, creating a detailed Engineering schedule, and writing technical papers on design process and preliminary design
Host internal and external design reviews and technical interchange meetings with stakeholders
Design, develop and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment and machinery for assigned projects
Mentor and lead junior Engineers in clean sheet design projects for power supplies, pressure switches, sensors, microcontrollers, and timers
Mentor and lead junior Engineers in reverse engineering projects for generator controls, power supplies, and PCBs
Evaluate existing designs created by junior Engineers and provide technical mentorship
Mentor and train engineers in the design process and on technical decisions
Identify Continuous Improvement projects and present them to management
Provide senior level engineering experience as an engineering lead on projects and proposals
Operation of RevEng PCB layout machine
Qualifications
Fifteen plus years of experience in addition to a BS Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, and a Master’s in Engineering Or twenty plus years of experience in Engineering/Manufacturing with Senior Level Electrical Engineering Experience required
Minimum 5 years' experience leading junior Engineers required
Preferred Knowledge:
Operation of optical comparator for reverse engineering needs
Operation of coordinate-measuring machine for reverse engineering needs
Operation of laser engraver
Knowledge of CNC programming
