AutoCAD Detailer

Join Florida Fence Products (FFP), a leading aluminum fabrication company with a specialization in fence, gates and powder-coating. To add to our team of FFP designers, we are now looking for an AutoCAD detailer. Our FFP design team is going through an incredible time of growth and development. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and actively contribute to the continuous growth of the FFP team.

Responsibilities:

Drafting Drawings: Utilize AutoCAD software to draft all necessary drawings required for the approval process. This includes creating accurate and detailed plans, layouts, and technical drawings according to project specifications.

Fabrication Details: Provide comprehensive details and annotations on drawings that convey the necessary information for fabrication. Ensure that the drawings include precise measurements, dimensions, materials, and other specifications required for the fabrication process.

Drawing Approval: Prepare and submit drawings to customers for approval. Collaborate with project managers and customers to address any requested modifications or changes, ensuring that the drawings meet the customer's requirements and specifications.

Approved Drawing Reception: Receive approved drawings from customers and update the project documentation accordingly. Ensure that the latest revisions and changes are accurately incorporated into the final drawings.

Submittal Preparation: Prepare submittal packages, which may include drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation required for review and approval by regulatory bodies, clients, or project stakeholders.

Collaboration with Project Managers and Fabricators: Work closely with project managers and fabricators to coordinate and communicate project requirements, design intent, and any modifications or adjustments needed during the fabrication process. Provide support and clarification as needed to ensure accurate and efficient execution of the design.

Final Drawing Release: Release the final approved drawings to the shop or fabrication team for production. Ensure that all necessary documents and information are provided to enable the fabrication process to proceed smoothly.

Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Implement effective document control procedures to ensure version control, traceability, and retrieval of drawings as needed.

Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality standards and guidelines in drafting drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Perform thorough reviews and checks of drawings to minimize errors and discrepancies.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD techniques, software enhancements, and industry trends. Seek opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, productivity, and quality through the use of innovative tools and methodologies.

Organization: Demonstrate quality organizational skills within the workplace and through the internal software.
