Autocad Designer-Senior Structural Steel Detailer (Cd)

MUST HAVE STEEL ERECTION EXPERIENCE

Education and/or Experience:

• Knowledge of drafting and construction practices, AISC requirements.
• 5+ years of experience in Autodesk AutoCAD.
• 5+ years of experience with Structural Steel detailing or storage tanks.
• Associate degree or CAD certification or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of 3D experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of AISC and API codes is a plus
• college education or detailing certification required

Essential Functions:

· Create erection and fabrication drawings with a Bill of Materials utilizing 3D or 2D software

· Review contract drawings and specifications

· Revise drawings as directed after Internal review / Approval and contract changes

· Update drawings per As-built markups

· Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a very fast-paced, production-driven environment

· Create PDFs of completed drawings

· Meet deadlines for assigned projects

· Conduct shop visits as needed

· Adhere to and support all PBS Company Safety Policies.

• Ability to read and understand drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with a team under pressure and within tight schedules.
• General Microsoft Office experience
• Highly organized with attention to detail and committed to producing accurate and complete work.
