Use a variety of cleaning products, tools and techniques to clean and wash the interior and exterior of company cars, trucks and other vehicles as assigned. Clean and sanitize the entire facility on a daily basis. Document and maintain proper inventory levels of cleaning supplies, tools and any necessary protective gear. Maintain all cleaning gear and equipment in good working order.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean the interiors of company vehicles using different methods including, but not limited to, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, steam cleaning upholstery, wiping surfaces and deodorizing.
- Wash exterior of company vehicles, including tires, wheels and undercarriage, and ensure proper techniques are used so as not to damage exterior or paint jobs.
- Apply protective finishes such as waves, polishes and other protective agents to the exteriors of company cars.
- Perform thorough inspections to ensure that each step of the cleaning process has been completed.
- Clean and sanitize the entire facility on a daily basis, including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping the floors, using floor scrubbers, removing the trash and performing other cleaning duties as necessary.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools and gear, ordering additional supplies as needed in order to ensure adequate inventory levels at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, performing safety checks and cleaning walkthrough at beginning and end of shift.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies.
- Follow SugarCreek safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Experience: One to two years of detailing experience preferred.
Certification or Licensure Requirements: None
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Possess strong knowledge of cleaning and detailing tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Know how to strictly follow any and all safety procedures and policies in place.
- Possess strong self-motivation and exemplary work ethic.
- Able to use cleaning tools safely and proficiently (both hand and power).
- Possess adequate hand dexterity to manipulate or move objects.
- Able to work well with others in a team environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with detailing positions, including mostly standing and walking required. Other physical activity like using stairs or moving items weighing less than 50lbs may be required as needed. Some travel may be required in between plants.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Some travel to other locations is required. Most work is performed in an auto repair shop with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required, including gloves, safety glasses, face shields, ear plugs. Some work is performed in a comfortable, office environment. Very little work is performed outside of the manufacturing facility.
