Job Overview

The Littleton Group is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an experienced Property Damage Adjuster to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Auto Division, will play a pivotal role in investigating and analyzing complex cases, including major disasters, industrial accidents, and large-scale property losses. You must have Property Damage experience, or equivalent work experience and hold a multi-line Texas adjuster’s license. Your expertise along with precision and attention to detail, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as policyholders, contractors, and legal representatives, to accurately assess the extent of damage, determine coverage, and negotiate fair settlements. Leveraging your technical knowledge and industry experience, you will provide comprehensive reports and recommendations, ensuring prompt and equitable resolutions for our clients. Your commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, coupled with your ability to thrive in high-pressure situations, will be instrumental in helping individuals and businesses recover from catastrophic events. This role is a full-time, HYBRID, salary based position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim (insureds, drivers, witnesses, etc.) to gather facts of the loss
  • Assess coverage, identifying and addressing potential coverage issues
  • Document information obtained regarding damages and manage the assignment of claim damage for inspection
  • Maintain file notes and correspondence while efficiently handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

:

  • Multi-line Texas Adjuster's license
  • Experience as a Property Damage Adjuster, showcasing excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office software and other business-related software
  • Ability to type own reports and other correspondence effectively

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, and regulations
  • Strong understanding of Property Damage assessment methodologies and estimating software
  • Proven ability to investigate complex Property Damage claims and determine liability accurately
  • Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate the extent of Property Damage and estimate repair costs
  • Excellent negotiation and settlement skills to reach fair and equitable claim resolutions
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle a high-volume caseload effectively
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including policyholders, contractors, and legal experts
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical information and claim decisions to clients clearly
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to document and process claims efficiently
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in claim documentation and settlements
  • Adaptability to handle challenging situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Essential Requirements

  • Must have US work rights
  • Multi-line Texas Adjuster's license.
  • Experience as a Property Damage Adjuster, showcasing excellent verbal and written communication skills

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a hybrid, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates in the San Antonio office. While working in our office environment, you will primarily engage in desk-based activities. This includes prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while utilizing a computer. Regular hearing and verbal communication will be essential as you interact with teammates and stakeholders. Although this is a largely sedentary role, occasional physical activities may be required, such as reaching outward, using a phone, operating office equipment, and bending.
