Automotive Claims Specialists is looking for experienced independent Auto Appraisers outside our local area to join our Cat Team. This position requires onsite appraisals at auto dealerships following storms/disasters. We handle claims as a result of hail, flood, wind, hurricane, etc.
This is a part time, 1099 position. An excellent opportunity for a retired, semi-retired or an Auto Appraiser looking to work during storm season. Requires flexible schedule for travel. Travel via domestic air, rental car or personal vehicle.
Starting Rate is $400/day plus all approved travel related expenses. Mileage is paid at the current IRS rate.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of automobiles and vehicle repairs - PDR and Conventional
- Experience with Audatex Estimating Program. Must have own laptop
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills. As a representative of the Insurance Company and Automotive Claims Specialists, you will communicate with all areas of dealership - CEO’s, General Managers, Sales, Comptrollers, Service Writers, and PDR Companies
- Team player with positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Maintain documentation of all interactions with insurance carrier as well as their customers
- Appraisal experience of Tractor Trailers, RV’s and Specialty units a plus
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pass Background Screen and Drug Test
Automotive Claims Specialists is located in the greater Kansas City Missouri area. We work under contract with a nationwide insurer of auto dealerships handling claims as a result of hail, fire, flood, wind, hurricane, etc.
